It’s been just a week since the launch of the campaign to support the Central Public Library of Veria for the completion of its renovation and the acceptance of both the public and the media is impressive, moving and extremely optimistic.

The innovative project, the high quality of services and the contribution of the Central Public Library of Veria to date -elements that have made it a national and international prototype, the constant desire for evolution and the extraordinary boldness with which it took the initiative, pioneering once again, to realize its dreams, with an open invitation to the world through the campaign, has already been embraced and rewarded with warmth.

All the local media spread the message and appeal to the world for support, the community of library, its members put their donation in the contribution box, and the first deposits have been made in the two bank accounts that have been proposed on the site of the campaign support.libver.gr. In the library’s social media, the audience suggests working voluntarily to contribute in order to raise the required amount of money.

The promotion of the campaign and the Library acquired a national character from the moment of its announcement. High circulation newspapers host the campaign on the first page, national radio and television stations give the floor to representatives of the Library to present the campaign, convey the message, and incite people to support.

The campaign just got its own song! The Barb Wire Dolls, one of the best bands in the world punk scene today, originating in Crete, with concert audience all around the world, and Steve Albini, producer of Nirvana, as the producer of their first LP, recorded in the recording studio of the Library the new single «Survive», exclusively for the campaign. You can listen to the song on https://goo.gl/tQGGoQ.

THE AMOUNT RAISED UNTIL NOW IS 7.300€

AND WE CONTINUE SO THAT

TOGETHER WE WILL TURN ON THE LIGHTS
