TOGETHER WE WILL TURN ON THE LIGHTS “: When we came up with the message that would reflect the vision and our plans in a brief and concise sentence and decided to send it, with an open invitation to the public, we never thought that TOGETHER would include so many recipients, so many beautiful pictures, so many intense emotions, such a surplus of hope and optimism, so much LIGHT!

From January 11 and throughout the course of this wonderful journey, which aimed at the collection of the required funds for the completion of the 2^nd floor renovation of our Library, we lived unique moments. We renewed relations with friends, we created new friendships, we shared memories, we colored dreams and we formed a large community which surpassed, from the very beginning, the borders of the city, the region and even the country.

We wholeheartedly thank everyone individually and all those who offered 1-27.000 € and helped us not only approach the target, which initially seemed unreachable, but exceed it, since the amount collected until today reached 106.232€:

The 686 friends of the Library who dropped their donation in the contribution box, the 155 depositors in the two bank accounts, our major donors, the nationwide companies, the local businesses, the scientific and cultural associations and schools, the sports associations, the Greek people living abroad, the artists-ambassadors of the campaign who rushed to spread our message through the social media and devote  special videos  and songs, the media sponsors of our campaign and all the  media representatives for the immediate response to the dissemination of the message, the warm involvement in our vision, their visits in the library and the complimentary remarks about  the work and our contribution which gave us strength to continue.

And of course those who have designed and implemented the campaign with endless passion: the Board of Directors, the employees of the Library, the volunteers, the OPUS communication company.

Responding to the love of the public who see in the Library the hope for the future and to the desire to support it, our campaign is extended in order to cover the implementation costs of the initial events, to support the operation of the recording studio and its connection with the operation of the event hall. At the same time, the campaign which is addressed to Greeks who live abroad continues at the support page at Indiegogo.

The orders of the 2nd floor equipment, comprehensive list of which will soon be announced at support.libver.gr, have already started, and we plan to TURN ON THE LIGHTS TOGETHER in early April!
